What is the purpose of a music video?

The purpose of a music video is to promote or advertise an artist/band. The aim is to make a music video that will attract new fans and make them want to listen to other songs by the artist.

For this project we need to make sure we use non copyright music or even our own or a friends that we have permission from to use.

These websites are full of unsigned artists whose songs we can request to use for our video.

The Brief

• Up to five minutes
• Single or in a group of four members
• Produce 'digipak' for it's release on DVD
• Magazine advertisement
